It is very important to understand your tool well to unlock the real power and to utilize it more smartly.

Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.

History of Mac OS

It conclude the journey from Mac OS X Server 1.0 till the latest one (macOS 11 till March 2021)

Features

  1. TrackPad

It has lot of hidden feature of tab and gesture which can help us to use the cursor as low as possible to perform many regular operations.
A full details of that can be checked on the `System Preferences => Trackpad`. It contains the various events for the Click and point, Scroll and zoom and other gestures which make the desktop and other apps more accessible from any point of time

2. Files and Folder

The file and folder is same as other OS but the cool features that I figure out is the way to open up the folder in finder (cmd+Down-key) and closing in finder is (cmd+ Up-key)

3. Settings

Click the Apple icon in the top-left corner of the screen, then select System Preferences.

This can help for the settings like screen theming in General Tab, Dock settings in Docks, Users settings in Users & Groups.

4. Common Applications

a. Spotlight Search
It help to quick find the application, folder, file

b. App Store

c. Force Quit Applications

Apart from that there are others app also like Safari, Mail, Calendar, XCode etc.

5. KeyBoard Short-Cuts

This is the life hack for any of the OS which let you use your system like a pro.

Cool Commands

Cmd + Ctr + F : To make/close the full screen mode.
Cmd + Alt + esc : To open the Force Quit Applications.
Cmd + Alt + dragging : To create a shortcut of the file/folder.
Cmd + Control + N : This will move the selected files to the newly created folder
Cmd + Space : Spotlight Search

Command Applicable for most of the Apps:

Cmd + T : New Tab
Cmd + W : Close Tab
Cmd + Shift + T : Open last closed Tab
Cmd + Alt + left/right : To move between the tabs.
Cmd + Number : Will open the tab specific to that number.
Cmd + N : New Window

File Related Commands:

Cmd + C : Copy
Cmd + V : Formatted Paste
Cmd + X : Cut
Cmd + Shift + V : Unformatted Paste
